Priority handling for visas expiring within 7 days
Urgent Visa Run from Hanoi
Visa expiring this week? Send us a photo of your passport page and visa right now. We will tell you within the hour what is realistically possible, what it costs, and when you can leave.
First: how many days do you have?
| Days until expiry | What is usually possible | What to do now |
|---|---|---|
| 5–7 days | Almost everything. Standard e-visa processing (5 working days) still fits. Laos visa in advance is usually possible. | Message us today. We apply for the e-visa within hours. |
| 3–4 days | Huu Nghi (China) for eligible passports; Laos routes if an e-visa can be approved in time. Express handling where available. | Message us immediately with passport and visa photos. Do not book your own transport yet. |
| 1–2 days | Difficult but sometimes possible: e-visa already approved, visa-exempt passport, or existing multiple-entry visa. Otherwise we discuss alternatives (extension, exit by air). | Call or WhatsApp now. Have your passport ready. |
| Expires today / already expired | You must not cross the border with an overstay unresolved. Overstay penalties were increased under Decree 282/2025. | Contact us for guidance on regularising the overstay before any travel. Do not attempt a Visa Run. |
Honest note: a new Vietnam e-visa takes 5 working days through the standard channel. Our express e-visa service (2,000,000 VND single entry, 2,700,000 VND multiple entry, government fee included) can bring that down to 3–4 hours when the immigration portal's express channel is available on your date — it is a real paid service, not a guarantee, and we will tell you honestly if it is not available for your case. Outside of that, a same-day trip is only realistic when your re-entry document already exists (approved e-visa, valid multiple-entry visa, or a visa-exempt passport).
What "urgent" includes
- Reply usually within 1 hour, 7 days a week, Mon–Sun, 08:00–21:00 (Hanoi time)
- Immediate eligibility check by an experienced visa consultant
- E-visa application submitted the same day, with express handling (3–4 hours) where the immigration portal offers it
- Departure within 24–72 hours of visa approval, private car if no shared trip is scheduled
- Coordinator on the phone from pick-up to return
You pay transport (from 700,000 VND by bus, or a private car from 2,500,000 VND depending on route) plus, if you need it, the express e-visa fee (2,000,000–2,700,000 VND, government fee included). See the full breakdown on the price page.
Fastest route options when time is short
- Huu Nghi (China), same day — for UK, EU, Australian, NZ, Japanese, Korean and other China visa-free passports, or holders of a Chinese visa. Route details.
- Na Meo (Laos), long day — for US, Indian, Filipino and other passports without a Chinese visa; needs a Laos visa arranged in advance, so 4+ days is safer. Route details.
- Lao Bao (Laos) with flights — visa on arrival, so no Laos embassy step; fly Hanoi–Hue and drive. Route details.
- Exit by air — a flight to Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur or Vientiane and back is sometimes the only option with 1–2 days left. We can advise, even though it is not our service.
What to send us right now
- Photo of your passport information page
- Photo of your current Vietnam visa or entry stamp (with the expiry date visible)
- Your nationality and where you are staying in Hanoi
- Whether you hold a Chinese or Laos visa already
Urgent Visa Run FAQ
My visa expires tomorrow. Can you help?
Maybe. If you already have an approved e-visa, a multiple-entry visa or a visa-exempt passport, a same-day Huu Nghi trip may be possible for eligible nationalities. If you need a new e-visa, tomorrow is not realistic through official channels, and we will discuss alternatives with you instead of taking your money.
Can you get an e-visa in one day?
Often, yes. Our express e-visa service can bring approval down to 3–4 hours (2,000,000 VND single entry, 2,700,000 VND multiple entry, government fee included), but it depends on the immigration portal's express channel being available on your date. We confirm that before you pay, rather than promising a guarantee no one can make.
I have already overstayed by a few days. Should I do a Visa Run?
No, not before the overstay is dealt with. You will be stopped at the exit counter and fined; in serious cases you can be banned. Contact us first; MP Viet Visa handles overstay regularisation and we will explain the steps.
Do you charge extra for weekends?
Our urgent fee already covers weekend departures. Border overtime fees, where they exist, are official and small; we tell you in advance.
